Here is the link to the webquest Marina and I have created for our presentation. It is called "Let's go to London" as students will travel to the capital of England in order to review some vocabulary related to food and clothes.
Fahrenheit 451 is a film based on a novel by Ray Bradbury. It shows a society where firemen are responsible for burning books instead of putting out fires. The main character is a fireman called Guy Montag. At first he loves his job but once he met a girl called Clarisse his whole world changes. He starts questioning his job and decides to steal some books and read what's inside. Unfortunately, he is caught by his boss and has to run away, otherwise he will die.
The most incredible thing about the film is the way people lived. They had screens in their walls with people talking to them all the time, manipulating them, and they didn't even realise! They thought they were happy but, actually, the purpose of the goverment was to create people unable to think for themselves or, in other words, people who would give them no problems.
It's a really emotive film in which you may identify with some characters who fight fot their rights, who fight for the truth. They give us hope, they help us believe everything's possible.
To sum up, I think you will really enjoy this film because of its original story; I'm sure you haven't seen anything like this before. So, will Montag survive or will the government win one more time?
